A Humorous Story from the World of E-Mail Marketing

Today, I received an e-mail from someone who receives one of the newsletters I manage; she wanted to know how I obtained her e-mail address. I went into the ezine management system I use to research the issue. Here's the humor: she subscribed herself to the list the same day she sent the e-mail asking how we obtained her address. To add to the humor, the ezine management system we use has a double-confirm requirement. This means that people who subscribe themselves are sent an e-mail with a confirmation link. They are not added to the list until they click on the link in that e-mail.
